I finished the embroidered cross and crown this afternoon, so it’s on to the patchwork. I was very good and used waste knots so that the back would be neat. Usually I have knots and stray threads everywhere but I’m trying to improve my embroidery techniques.
I have a couple of things I’ve had for years, and I was going to incorporate one into an applique on the inside of the front cover and the other as a charm on a bookmark.
One is a pewter fish a girl gave me way back in high school circa 1972, and the other is a small brass pendant my husband gave me on a necklace about 30 years ago or so. They are both lingering in a plastic box; it might be nice to use them with this book cover and the study bible. They aren’t worth anything except to me for sentimental value.
